Blogcation is new made-up word (I kinda make up words all the time...try it out sometime! It's great when people think you're stupid, and want to hit you upside the head with a dictionary, but you know they're the real idiot because they aren't up to date with the trendiest newly created verbiage in your vocabulary). It means a blog vacation (I know, it really took a brainiac to figure that one out). Lord knows, someone already made it up already and I'm just the last to know (like always), because did you know that bloggiversary is a word now? I didn't. I suppose that could count as something I learned today (that whole 'you learn something new every day' business). Not entirely sure a made up word counts though...
Blogcation describes my lack of blogging for the past, oh I don't know, nearing 2 months now. You'd think that I have all these great, fantabulous blog ideas that would knock your socks off cross-country....but no, I'm afraid that's not the case. This is all I have, a made up word. To describe the lack of imagination and creativity.
I'm just uber tired lately. So, fear not my 4 followers, I will soon NOT be tired so much and will have great ideas (hmmm, well, that's assuming they were ever great in the first place). I'm going to go nap now (yes, at my desk)....

FML
For the past several weeks, I've been head over heels, school girl squealing excited about this concert that was coming up...and happened last night. At first, tickets were immediately sold out and I couldn't get my hands on any. Of course, they then added another night and just imagine how excited I became when I scored tix to that night. [I was literally jumping up and down in my seat at work, trying really hard to hold it in...Fail! haha] This band is one that I love, and they play fantastic shows.
On the other hand, something you need to know about me is I get Migraines. Big, Bad, Evil, Brain-exploding, Migraines.
So, on the eve of my 2nd most favorite concert of the summer, for which I'd been really effing excited, .... I GOT A MIGRAINE!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
So that's a lil what it's like. A big evil monster coming at me with a hammer. And then add to that bullshit having to miss the show. Loud music is not amenable to big evil migraines. Nope nope nope. So, I've been pretty bummed about missing the show, needless to say.
So, that cute little excited girl up there has nothing to jump up and down for right now. So, she's saying "FML!" Don't worry, I'll think of something exciting soon, and then will share with you promptly.
SHOUT OUT to my THREE FOLLOWERS!! You guys rock! Love you guys more than peanut butter loves jelly! HAHAhahahahaha, I'm hiLARious, I know. (Or not, but don't tell me, k?)
This might as well have been me - just add more pink and make those papers concert tix. |
My very first drawing in Paint!!!! Annah would be proud (shit, I hope!) |
Migraine coming after me. |
Migraine effing got me. Damn that monster. |

It's Friday-licious!
Best line of the day... "It's Friday-licious!" Thanks to my fellow work neighbor (can't take the cred for this one, it's all B!), cuz I'm for sure going to use this one again! lol
In honor of my recent CSA acquirements (fresh fruit, veggies and herbs), I plan on cooking lots of healthy and delicious food tonight so Friday-licious is more a propos than B knows.
Holy crap, the cucumber that came with my veggies has GOT to be the biggest cucumber known to man (we're talking girth AND length folks)!! It is humongous!!
Is that not huge?! What would you do with such a beefy cucumber? ;) Keep it clean folks (alright fine, don't). Haha.
Runner-Up Line of the Day: Another fellow work neighbor just made me LOL, "I may be white, but I can fight." Hahahahahahahaha. Runner-Up, cuz Friday-licious still wins out.
Hope everyone else is having a Friday-licious day! Let me know about it! :)

Mmmmmm, veggies.....(Is it just me, or do many of these look quite phallic?!) |

OMG! My new celeb gossip addiction
As of late, I've developed an affinity for celebrity gossip. Not something I'm too proud to admit, but hell, it's not my fault! The very same reason is to blame for me starting a (likely, very boring) blog: the lack of actual work at job #1. And so sprung this new addiction to other people's lives. It's an easy, mindless way to pass the day when I don't have anything to do. I can't very well just sit here and read a book, can I? Of course not, that would look bad. lmao. The reason omg.yahoo.com is so great is that there are LOTS of pictures. (What can I say, I'm very visual.)
As for this nothing to do at work business, it's driving me a bit insane. I've been daydreaming about just quitting and sitting at home on my ass all day doing nothing, because at least then I'd be comfortable and could do nothing on the couch in my PJs. I supposed I shouldn't complain, I am getting paid (alright) money to do jackshit all day. But that's totally not who I am. I like being productive and getting shit done. At the same time though, how many people get to say they love what they do? I suppose I can't always be the exception to the rule. *Sigh*.

Dreamscapes
Dreams are such weird phenomena. Have you ever really just thought about it? The very concept of dreams (and controlling them...go Inception) is fantastical. In their free time (aka when we sleep), our brains decide they want to go on an adventure of sorts. How great for us, considering we may be doing a number of truly awesome things - perhaps getting frisky with someone truly dreamy [read: unreal] (like Shia Laboeuf or Brad Pitt....or perhaps Angelina Jolie for all you guys out there...), winning the lottery and buying everything we've ever wanted, kicking that bully's ass, or just simply being more happy than we could ever imagine being possible (soon to realize when we wake up that it was just that, too good to be true...and then you try to go back to sleep promptly to return to that phenomenal dreamscape).
That's to say you're one of the lucky ones and have great dreams. I must say I'm pretty lucky as I rarely have bad dreams, and I find that I only have bad dreams when I'm stressed out (and that's pretty rare). Scary movies pre-bed time don't even get me anymore. But man, they are freaking BAD when I do have them. I've died at least 3 or 4 times (that I can remember) in my dreams. In the craziest ways! I burned alive (well, who wouldn't in that dream, evidently the entire world was on fire), I've been bitten in the ass by a venomous snake while on roller skates, I've been shot (not so crazy, but still), and the list goes on. Where these notions come from and what they mean about my subconscious beats me, and I don't think I really care to find out. Unless it's funny.
What really gets me is when I wake up in the morning, knowing that I had a pretty amazing dream, but can't remember for the life of me what the hell it was about. And then throughout the next day, having these tiny "flashbacks" of the dream, only to find that when I focus my brain on it the flashback immediately dissipates. Let me just say that our brains are truly expert covert agents.
Hands down, my absolute favorite dreams are the ones in which you're completely lucid and know 100% that you're dreaming...so you can do whatever the hell you want to. In these dreams, if I focus hard enough, I am the mistress of my dreamscape...I can instantly go whereever I want, or make people appear if I really want them to be there (say, that new guy I'm crushing on, lol), or make shit happen. These dreams are few and far between...all the more reason to make the best of it! Tell me what you guys dreamt of last night...or what you didn't...that is, if anyone is reading this right now. [TAMMY!!! You rock! Thanks for being my very first and most awesome follower!! xoxo.]

Post Numero Uno
I suppose since I started a blog, I should proceed to write a first post, eh?
Did you notice the "eh" I threw in there? No, I'm not from Canadia (I wrote Canadia on purpose, folks). But I talk to Canadians at job #1 (aka the "day job") every day. If anything, it throws people for a loop (or, it was involuntary and I'm too lazy to delete it).
Perhaps you noticed my numeric reference to my job. That's right, I have multiple jobs. Despite how much I appreciate job #1 (and its glorious benefits), it's job #2 that really lights up my life (insert sarcasm reference here). Hostessing. Essentially, I stand there, look pretty, and tell people where to sit. The best part? I get to bear witness to human nature at its worst, and just how stupid people can be. Now I consider myself a pretty patient, objective person (I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt in most circumstances), but honestly, the restaurant industry has seriously challenged all of that. Honestly, sir, do you really think that I'm responsible - as the hostess - for you receiving a parking ticket when you parked in the only no parking zone around?! Well, ... he really did. And he made sure to tell the manager. Foolish old man. As if we were actually going to call the Police Department for you to try and get you out of that ticket.
*Heavy sigh* At least I like the people I work with. And job #1 makes up for what job #2 lacks.... I don't have to deal with idiots on a daily basis (although there's the occasional vendor that puts a stick in that theory). Not to mention, I tutor in my "free" time. I truly enjoy doing that though. I get to help kids out and mentor them. Despite my apparent lack of patience (only true at job #2, haha), I do a pretty good job as a coach and mentor (I know, surprise surprise, lol). I do that stuff at job #1 on occasion as well. That's the stuff I really like doing.
So that's a lil about me. Something I'll probably tell you all (or no one, because that's probably how many people will be reading my blog, but regardless I'll still probably tell) later is about my journey to be vegetarian. I've been brainwashed by a book, and now am completely incapable of eating any type of meat. (NOTE: by brainwashed, I mean I got educated and the truth is scary). Enough for the first post. Everyone have a fruitful weekend, and don't catch heat stroke.
